Zambia and some other Southern African nations are facing severe drought situation which has affected people’s lives and the economy. In this difficult time, India has extended support to Zambia. It will soon send a material aid of 2,500 metric tons of maize which will help feed a large population.
In the recently concluded 6th session of the Zambia-India Joint Permanent Commission, the two nations discussed the situation and India offered assistance. In addition, they also discussed the scope of cooperation and collaborations in various sectors, including energy, agriculture, education, and others.
